Yes! Gestalt therapy!
“Gestalt therapy? What’s that?” you might wonder… Let me try to explain that without getting too technical.
Everything you interact with influences you, just as you influence everything you interact with. Think of this mutual influence as a reciprocal process. So, there’s a reciprocal relationship between you and everything you interact with. But what exactly do you interact with? Well, yourself, your health, your partner, your family, your work, your social circles, to name just a few examples.
Sometimes, this interaction doesn’t go smoothly or effortlessly anymore… Somewhere along the line, you might experience something like a blockage, an obstacle, or a barrier… a life-hurdle! You probably want to get rid of that hurdle as quickly as possible! So what do you do? You spend energy trying to remove the hurdle, resulting only in fatigue and frustration.
Gestalt Therapy makes you skillful at life
In Gestalt therapy, that hurdle is approached differently. It isn’t seen as something troublesome but as something from which can be learned. If you dare to confront it (what does it do to me? What does it mean to me? What needs do I have in this situation? etc.), then that hurdle actually contributes to your development instead of holding you back! You become more skillful in dealing with interactions and the life-hurdles you encounter.
Go from surviving to living!

“Happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them…”
So instead of fighting and struggling against challenging things you encounter in your life, you actually learn to grow from those things! Living instead of just surviving! Fantastic, isn’t it?
